1pg essays: My Good Points (as a streamer)

I struggle to imagine my value. Therefore to do something of this caliber (that is: writing an essay of self-affirmation) it would require either a sufficient amount of self-conceit, delusion, or alcohol. That said, I am both a realist, and have at best an acquaintanceship with liquor. So this shall be realistically sober. Unfortunately.

My number one charm point: straightshooting. I fail to say 'honesty' as much as others will disagree. There are things I will say, and things I will not say—I have been streaming since 2020, I'm not a fucking idiot. But when asked my opinion, assuming it is an opinion I will give... I go for the throat. I will be blunt, I will be Frank from It's Always Sunny. Or Dr. Cox from Scrubs. I will reach into my depths, and say what I mean, and mean what I say, which is surprisingly a saddeningly rare trait in this year of 2026. I refuse to engage in the falsities of a fake affection for viewers ala Girlfriend Experiences. SO. You will know when I like you. You will know when I don't. In a time of anxieties, this is an ultimate relief relief to many, even if it is not a lucrative financial decision for myself.

Secondly: I am analytical. I am willing to chase a thought (thot?) to the ends. I am not saying I am particularly smart, or that I believe I am more or less intelligent than anybody else, or that I simply am able to think in a manner you cannot. I am just stubborn. I am just quirky. But also not willing to let a thought that taken my interest go freely. I read into things, and just keep asking: why? This can lead to funny conclusions. Dubious sequiturs. I am able to drop into a TED-talk-talk about that which interests me—minus the phd level knowledge that's typically associated with a proper TED-talk.

Thirdly, I am a gambler. I have found that the best situations for comedy when it comes to streaming are moments of great success as well as moments of great, catastrophic, failure. I can see the moments in games when that is teetering at its edge. By positioning myself there, I can either bring the community around in surprise and uproar at the infinitesimal chance of success, or pull them in to laugh at my promethean level hubris.

Fourthly, I am resilient as a cockroach. 2023: my dog dies. 2024: my dad (biological) dies. 2025: I get cancer AND lose my voice. And yet, here in 2026, I somehow still exist, streaming 3 days a week, working 3 days a week, with 3 tabletop rpgs a week, and somehow I'm still breathing. It would take a lot more to take me out, and god knows the world has tried.

Finally, I am extremely knowledgeable about tabletop rpgs. Perhaps I am not the best. I certainly haven't released anything of noteworthy quality, but I'm able to read into the heart of rpgs with a pinpoint accuracy of a knife's edge. The problem is: the ocean itself doesn't understand what lies below. I need questions and prompts to fish out my thoughts and opinions, entirely because it's hard to filter what I do and do not know. That said, any question I get, I shall promise to answer with my best.
